GE Lumination Acquires Journée's LED Module Technology

Leaders of GE Consumer & Industrial in the U.S. and Europe are already presenting the new module to lighting fixture manufacturers, distributors, retailers and the lighting design community. "Early customer feedback has been a combination of relief and excitement," notes Andy Davies, senior LED product manager for GE's operation in Europe. "GE customers around the world appreciate that we've knocked down the hurdle of inflexibility that's inherent with integrated LED luminaires."

U.S. Department of Energy Competition Names Azara  "Best In Class"
The Next Generation Luminaires competition (sponsored by the DOE, IESNA, and IALD) seeks to promote excellence in the design of energy-efficient LED lighting fixtures.  To be awarded with the prestigious "Best In Class" status, a product had to not only stand out from all of the others, but it also had to be evaluated at the top of its specific product category.
