GE Lumination Acquires Journée's LED Module Technology

Leaders of GE Consumer & Industrial in the U.S. and Europe are already presenting the new module to lighting fixture manufacturers, distributors, retailers and the lighting design community. "Early customer feedback has been a combination of relief and excitement," notes Andy Davies, senior LED product manager for GE's operation in Europe. "GE customers around the world appreciate that we've knocked down the hurdle of inflexibility that's inherent with integrated LED luminaires."

U.S. National Park Service Selects The Lotus LED Luminaire

 "The Lassen Volcanic Visitor Center is utilizing the latest in Green exhibit lighting technology with a state-of-the-art LED lighting system from Journée,” says Ric Alesch, project manager for the U.S. National Park Service.  “Through the use of this new LED track lighting system, the visitor center exhibit will be using less than half of the energy required by similar halogen-based lighting systems.”

Lotus Luminaire Named Among Winners Of Lighting For Tomorrow Competition

This year’s competition was split into two categories: fluorescent luminaires and white-light LED luminaires.  Amongst a total of 56 LED fixtures entered in the LED competition, judges singled out Journée’s Lotus LED luminaire as one of seven lighting fixtures featured in the winners showcase.  As stated on the Lighting for Tomorrow website, “These innovative lighting fixtures combine the best current LED technology with innovative designs to provide high-quality, energy-efficient lighting for specific uses throughout the home.”

Journée Track System Installed at Chicago Center For Green Technology
